1. What is a WhatsApp Business Signup?
A signup is essentially a digital ticket to your WhatsApp Business chat. Technically, it is a Deep Link URL or a QR Code.
When your customers click this link or scan the code:
The WhatsApp chat with your company opens automatically.
A Prefilled Message you selected is already entered in the input field.
Users only need to press Send – it’s that easy!
2. Why create multiple signups?
In JUNE, each individual signup can serve as a specific Trigger for an Automation.
Examples for using multiple signups:
Sweepstakes: Create a signup with the message "I want to participate in the sweepstakes". Once this message is received, JUNE automatically starts the corresponding response flow.
Tracking marketing channels: Use one QR Code on a flyer and another on your website. This allows you to see exactly where your new Contacts are coming from.
Customer Service vs. Sales: Different signups can lead users directly into the correct service flows.
Step-by-Step Guide: Creating your Signup
Prerequisites
Before starting, ensure:
Your WhatsApp Business account is successfully integrated into JUNE.
You have decided on your Prefilled Message.
Instructions:
Navigate to the WhatsApp area: Go to the WhatsApp item in the JUNE sidebar.
Open the Signups tab: Click the Signups tab in the top menu. This shows an overview of your existing signups.
Create new signup: Click the Create Template button.
Enter details:
Give your signup a meaningful Name (e.g., "Summer Sweepstakes 2026").
Optionally add a Description for internal purposes.
Set message: Type the text under Prefilled Message that should appear on your customers' smartphones.
Save: Click Create. Your new signup will appear as a new row in the Sign Ups tab.
Using Deep Link & QR Code
Once the signup is created, you have two ways to distribute it:
Deep Link URL: Copy the URL from the Deep Link Url column to embed it in Newsletters or on Buttons of your Landing Pages.
Generate QR Code: Copy the URL from the QR Code Image URL column and paste it into your browser tab. You can download the image to print on flyers or include it on your website.
JUNE Pro-Tip: Use the Prefilled Message as the starting signal for Automations by selecting On WhatsApp subscribed as the Trigger.
