SEO Page Settings

SEO Data: Page Title & Page Description

Your page titles and descriptions are the information that is displayed to search engines like Google. You can fill them with relevant content and keywords.

We will now focus on the requirements of Google, as this is the most commonly used search engine.

Type length

There is no perfect length for the page title. However, to ensure that all the information you enter is displayed, you should use between 30 and 65 characters. This will ensure that the entire page title is displayed on mobile as well as desktop. The page description should be between 120 and 155 characters, anything longer than that is at risk of being cut off or shortened.

How-To in JUNE

  1. To enter the information in JUNE, select your project and navigate to Landing Pages.

  2. Select the die desired subpage via click.

  3. On the right-hand side, you will now see all SEO settings.

Below is an example of how your information will be displayed on Google:

The “Keywords”, as well as the author, are not displayed in Google search. For the sake of completeness, and because Google changes the evaluation criteria from time to time, we would recommend that you maintain all data.
    Title: Page title (15–55 characters)
    Author: Name of the author(s)
    Keywords: Matching keywords
    Description: Page description (140–155 characters)
Share Image: Also called thumbnail. It will be displayed as a thumbnail when you share your link. Use 16:9 format, 1280 × 720 pixels (minimum width 640 pixels) and display important, like logo and headline only in the middle, because in some apps the format 1:1 is used.

  4. Click Save to save your changes.

💡 The decision whether Google will ultimately use your page titles and descriptions lies with Google and is difficult to influence directly as a user. If you notice after a few weeks that your page titles and/or descriptions are not being displayed, change them if necessary and resubmit your sitemap to Google. Here you can find some information from Google.

Alt Tags for Image Components

Alt tags, short for alternative text, are HTML attributes used to describe images on a web page. They serve as a textual representation of the image content and are crucial for accessibility and SEO purposes. Alt tags not only help visually impaired users understand the image, but also provide search engines with valuable information, increasing the chances that the image will be properly indexed and placed in search results.

Add Alt Tags

❗ Alt tags must be maintained individually for each image.

  1. Navigate to the Editor.

  2. Click on the desired image. On the left-hand side, you will find the Component Settings.

  3. Navigate to ALT-tag to enter your desired alternative text here.

Example: for the image seen in the screenshot, the following alt tag has been added: “Segments: Add segmentation rules and segmentation groups to personalize newsletters”.

  4. Click Save to save your changes.

  5. Publish your website as soon as you have completed all changes.

Publish Sitemap

When you publish a sitemap, a file that lists all the pages and content on your website is created and submitted to search engines. This makes it easier for search engine crawlers to navigate and index your website. This way, you can ensure that search engine crawlers get a comprehensive understanding of your website, which increases the chances of better visibility and indexing. Regularly updating and submitting your sitemap to search engines is an important way to maximize your website's visibility and organic traffic.
