To send an automated birthday mailing to your recipient list, follow the steps below.

1. Create an Email Recipient List

2. Add the List Element "Birthday"

  1. Expand your e-mail list with a "Birthday" field

    1. Click on Automations in the left sidebar and select the desired email list.

    2. Navigate to Settings in the top menu bar and click on Create field.

    3. Select any technical name (e.g. "birthday"), a label (e.g. birthday), the type "Date" and click on Save.

    4. If you already have data records that contain the birthday of your subscribers, you can import them in this way: Import records

    5. As soon as you collect the birthday data of your subscribers and these are stored in JUNE, you can continue and successfully send birthday mailings.

3. Create the Automated Action

This action will then automatically send the created birthday email dynamically in the future.

  1. Click on Automations in the left sidebar and select the desired email list.

  2. Navigate to Actions in the top menu bar and click on Create action.

  3. Select Scheduled - Action.

  4. Assign a name, select the interval "Daily" and set a time.

  5. In the segmentation, select Custom Segmentation and now select the "Birthday" list element you created. You must now fill in the other fields as follows:

    1. is

    2. DYN (dynamic)

    3. Annually Recurring Date

  6. In the Services, you must now select that an e-mail is to be sent as an action.

    1. Fill in all the information (subject, sender information, etc.)

    2. Select an email template. You can either use an email you have created or select the birthday email template we have provided. With one click, you can then edit it according to your wishes in the editor.

  7. Click on Save to apply your changes. Test the automation and if you are satisfied, set the action to "Active"
