Create & Send Email Campaign
Necessary Steps in Advance
You can create an email campaign at any time. However, in order to send it, the following steps must be completed beforehand:
Create a recipient list
If necessary, set up the desired segmentation
Create/select an email template
Set Up
Once you have completed the steps above, you are now ready to create an email campaign and send it out. Follow these steps:
Navigate to Campaigns in the left sidebar.
Click Create in the top right corner and select Email Campaign.

Set campaign name (internal name)
Select recipient list (who should receive the campaign?)
Select segment (should the recipient list be further filtered?)
💡 You will be shown the number of recipients as a control value.
Add tags (so you can assign the campaign to filter your campaign overview by tags at a later time)
Activate pre-actions if desired
💡 If you activate this switch, an intermediate step opens in which you can define pre-actions to automatically update the dynamic content of the campaign or the data of your recipient list before sending.
Content - Step 2/3
Activate A/B testing (after activation, you can jump back and forth between the 2 tabs and edit the individual information of the variants)
Set subject (this is the subject line that your recipients will see in their inbox).
💡 The pre-header of an email is set in the template.
Sender information (under which name and email address do you want to send?)
Reply information (to which name and email address should your recipients be able to reply? You can also choose a completely custom email address that is not registered under your domain).
Choose a template or draft; or insert your HTML to define the content of the email - you can still edit the template/draft
💡 You can edit the email using the Edit button. Alternatively, you can click on Emails in the left sidebar and see all emails that you can edit with one click.
Important: If you have activated A/B testing, you must also make the settings of the 2nd step in the other variant as desired.
Send - Step 3/3
In the last step you will get a preview & summary and you can control the tracking and sending:
Tracking
Track opens (who opened the email?)
Track clicks (who clicked on a link in the email?)
Track website activity (if your website was linked to in the email, you can continue to track your users' activity even after the website link is opened, as long as there is a tracking pixel on the website to analyze their behavior).
Sending
Minimum sending time (over what period of time should the campaign be sent? This setting helps to save the server, for example, if a large sale is announced, there is a risk that the online store is overloaded by the simultaneous opening)
Send test (A modal with a 2-step menu will open. In the first step, you select customer data to test personalized email content. In the second step, you type in the email addresses of your team members who should receive the test email.)
Send scheduled (a calendar will open, select a date and time to send)
Send now (send immediately)
The campaign will be sent at the desired time after the sending settings are completed. As long as the sending is not completed, Scheduled or Sending will be displayed in the campaign overview.
Delete Email Campaign
Navigate to Campaigns in the left sidebar.
Click on the three dots in the column of the campaign you want to delete.
Now select Delete.
Confirm that you really want to delete the selected campaign.
Clone/Duplicate Email Campaign
Navigate to Campaigns in the left sidebar.
Click on the three dots in the column of the campaign you want to clone.
Now select Clone.
Choose a title for the duplicated campaign.
Click Submit to complete the cloning process.
